BEAM SCULPTOR 3D ~ CONTROL DESK

The Beam Sculptor 3D Control Desk has been designed to provide a flexible and intuitive method of creating and performing laser displays. The main screen layout has been designed to have the look and feel of a conventional hardware based control system, with 3D dials and digital displays.

The Control Desk allows you to play back .ILD files, with full capabilities of manipulating the shows. Trigger Keys enable you to select 384 laser effects, from a floating window to which you can change the size and position of the effects, along with full adjustment of rotation and scan speeds etc. The Control Desk also features a Lissajous Generator, which enables the creation of fluid moving effects.

There are 3 play modes to the Control Desk:

1. SHOW/ANIMATION ILD PLAYER This is where a predefined show or frame sequences is outputted from your laser for immediate play back. Once the file is loaded, you simply press the Play button for the laser to output. There is also a Pause button, which pause's the laser output and Stop. Within this play mode you have adjustments for Scan rate, Repeat Frames, Loop Animation and Blanking Shift. There is also an overall ILDA effect file control panel, where you can can both the X & Y size and have the ability to invert both the X and/or Y; this is ideal if you are rear projecting through our gauze projection screen as the images and text will then appear to read correct to your audience. As with the Lissajous generator, you have full control of the output size, position, rotational and colour adjustment.
2. LISSAJOUS GENERATOR

The Lissajous Generator has 2 frequency controllers, one each for X & Y channel. By adjusting the frequency dials the type of effect that the laser outputs changes; there is also a Fine Control for each channel to fine tune the effect that is playing. The chosen frequency is also displayed as a digital readout so you can easily remember the frequency's that you prefer. Each channel also has a size, position, rotational and colour adjustment control, to further increase the range of effects that you can create. Another effect that you can apply to the lissajous patterns is a Chop Rate. This is a simple but very effective effect that blanks your laser, creating a dash effect – the higher the slider (or greater number) the further apart the dashes become.

3. TRIGGER KEY The Trigger Key Mode allows banks of laser effects to be triggered from either on-screen via the floating Trigger Key Window, or alternatively directly from the keyboard. The Trigger Key window provides a graphical representation of the laser effects. In the standard version there are 8 banks of 48 keys available to load with effects (384 in total). All of the real-time controls on the main desk such as size, position, scan rate, rotate, etc can all be applied to the trigger key effects as they are projected. A representative small thumbnail of each laser effect is visible on each stored cue.
